B.Y.O.K. - Ion & Geiger Counters
Air Ion Counter
Unique ion counter in this price range
Paranormal phenomena causing the air to ionize? This hand-held ion counter possesses the same sensitivity (down to 10 ions/cm²) as meters costing far more. Fully electrostatically shielded, with a fan throughput of 200 cm³/sec, it can make accurate readings even in adverse conditions.
Measures positive and negative ions separately. Made in USA with a 1 year warranty. 9-volt battery included.
- Setting Time: 10 sec
- Noise level: 10 ions/cm³
- Accuracy: ±25% for fast ions
- Ion selectivity (crosstalk): 20x
- Range: 10 - 1,999,000 ions/cm³
RADEX RD1503 Low Cost Radiation Monitor

Low Cost Radiation Monitor
Detect radiative forms of energy while conducting paranormal research
This Geiger counter is designed for evaluation of ambient dosage of gamma-radiation, which can be performed by beginner and advanced ghost hunters in any environment. Also, the instrument can be used by personnel working with ionizing sources of radiation in an industrial setting. Moreover, the instrument can detect objects, polluted by beta-active radioactive nuclides.
The instrument uses the Geiger counter for calculation the amount of gamma- and beta-particles within 40 seconds and indicates the values in µSv/h and µRem/h on LCD screen. Registration of every particle is indicated by a sound-alarm, which makes it possible use “Search” mode (perfect for ghost hunting).
The instrument incorporates the following features: indication of value dimension, indication of sound-alarm threshold, continuous amendment of indications in proportion as duration of measurement increases, display illumination, MENU in English.
- Requires 2 x AAA Batteries
- Weight (without batteries): 0.09kg
- Dimensions: 105 x 60 x 26 mm
USB Geiger Counter
Perfect for recording Radioactivity data from your Ghost Hunt to your PC
A great way to measure and log radioactivity! While conducting your paranormal research, watch as background levels fluctuate over the course of the day or even an entire weekend.
Bring objects up to the sensor to see if they are emitting more than background. Compact G-M tube sensor plugs unto your computer’s USB port. Intuitive software allows monitoring of BETA and GAMMA radiation levels right away and shows graphically how the levels are changing over time.
Data is collected every 3 seconds and is date and time stamped. Display as CPM, mR/hr, or uSv/hr. Averaging time is selectable from 15 seconds to 10 minutes. No batteries or external power required. Audible event beep (can be disabled in software). There is even an audible alarm which you can set to go off at any level. Includes software CD and cable. Easy set-up. 1 year warranty. Made in USA. Now look at the low price!
Must be connected to computer to work, not a stand alone device.
